The Titleist TSR2 fairway wood is a custom-built, pre-owned fairway wood assembled to your specifications by The Tour Truck in Oceanside, California. What is the Titleist TSR2 fairway wood, and who is it for?

The TSR2 is the forgiving fairway in Titleist's TSR line, and its defining feature is where the weight sits.

  • Ultra-low, face-centred CG. Titleist called this the most significant change in the head: the lowest centre of gravity they had ever produced in an all-steel fairway. Low CG gets the ball up, but pushing it forward toward the face at the same time is what stops it adding the excessive backspin a deep-CG club would. The pairing is what produces a high flight that still goes somewhere.
  • Open Hosel Construction. A deceptively simple change — removing unwanted weight sitting high and toward the heel, which is the worst place for it in a club you hit off the deck. That freed mass is what made the CG shift possible.
  • High-strength Carpenter stainless steel. A stronger steel allows a thinner, faster face without giving up durability on a club that meets the ground.

Titleist also singles out sound and feel here, which is not marketing filler in a fairway wood — the Open Hosel change altered how the head resonates, and the response off the face is noticeably livelier.

It suits you if you want a fairway wood that launches easily off the deck and holds up when you catch it slightly thin or out toward the toe.

Available here in 15°, 18°, 21°. Titleist's SureFit hosel gives you further loft and lie adjustment after the build.

Which loft should I pick?

This is the question fairway wood buyers get wrong most often, so it is worth answering properly:

  • 15° (3 wood) — the longest of the set. Most useful off the tee on tight holes and on long par 5s from a clean lie.
  • 18° (5 wood) — the most versatile loft, and the one many players get more use out of than a 3 wood. Easier to launch from the deck.
  • 21° (7 wood) — increasingly chosen over a long iron or hybrid. Launches high, lands soft, works from poor lies.

If you already carry a driving iron or a long hybrid, email customerservice@thetourtruck.com with your current set makeup and we will tell you which loft we would build.

How much does a custom-built TSR2 fairway cost compared to new?

Custom TSR2 fairway builds start at $199.99. Premium aftermarket shafts are available at additional cost, so your final price depends on the shaft you select on this page.

Both the head and the shaft are pre-owned, and that is where the saving comes from. A premium aftermarket shaft is the most expensive component in a new custom build; buying that shaft pre-owned rather than new is what brings the whole club within reach.

Put together, a custom-built TSR2 fairway from us commonly lands at around 50% of what the equivalent new build costs at retail — new head, new aftermarket shaft, fitted and assembled. The exact gap depends on the specification you choose.

What condition are your pre-owned TSR2 heads in?

TSR2 fairway heads are supplied in Very Good condition as standard: signs of play, but above average for the model. Fairway woods take sole wear that drivers do not, since they are hit from the ground — expect scuffing on the sole, which is normal and does not affect performance.

Every head is inspected and authenticated by our team before it goes into a build. The photographs on this listing may not be of the exact head you receive, but the head you receive will match the condition shown.

How long does a custom TSR2 fairway build take, and how do I specify it?

Allow 1–2 weeks for all custom club orders.

You select the loft, shaft brand, shaft model and flex on this page — choose a shaft brand and the model and flex options for that brand appear. Everything you need to specify a standard-length build is on the page.

For any length alterations, email customerservice@thetourtruck.com after placing your order. If we do not hear from you, we build the club to standard length with the shaft you selected.

Shipping is free via UPS Ground from our Southern California warehouse.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. We sell only 100% authentic clubs and club components, and every TSR2 head is inspected and authenticated by our team before it enters a build.

15° (3 wood), 18° (5 wood), 21° (7 wood).
