What is the Ping G440 K driver, and who is it for?
The G440 K is the forgiveness flagship of Ping's current driver line. Ping describes it as their straightest and most forgiving model, built around a record-setting MOI for a Ping driver. MOI is a measure of how well a head resists twisting when you miss the middle of the face — the higher it is, the less a mishit costs you in distance and direction.
Ping reached that figure by saving weight in the head. A carbon crown and carbon sole free up mass that is repositioned lower and deeper, which both raises stability and helps get the ball up. The head also carries a 32g adjustable weight, so the centre of gravity can be shifted to tune ball flight rather than leaving it fixed.
It suits you if your strike moves around the face and you want the club to hold its line anyway, if off-centre hits are costing you more distance than you would like, or if you simply want the most forgiving driver Ping currently makes.
Available here in 9°, 10.5°, in Ping's 460cc head. The adjustable hosel gives ±1.5° of loft adjustment after the build.

What condition are your pre-owned G440 K heads in?
Every custom club build is offered in three head grades:
Good — clear signs of play. Sole wear, face marks and scratching are visible, and the finish may show wear at the edges. All blemishes are cosmetic and do not affect playability at all.
Very Good — normal signs of play, above average for the model. Light signs of use such as sole scratches and light crown or face marks consistent with a head of its age.
Excellent — minimal signs of play. A clean crown with light contact marks on the sole.
Whichever grade you choose, every head is inspected and authenticated by our team before it goes into a build. The photographs on this listing may not be of the exact head you receive, but please refer to our condition guide and the example condition photos provided.
