What is the Titleist GT3 driver, and who is it for?
The GT3 is the adjustable head in Titleist's GT driver family — the one Titleist built for players with a consistent impact location who want to tune distance and shot shape rather than accept a fixed setup.
The centrepiece is the Adjustable CG Track, and in this generation Titleist moved it closer to the face. That matters more than it sounds: the nearer the track sits to impact, the more each weight position changes ball flight, so the same head can be set for a genuinely different shape rather than a token adjustment. Titleist's own framing is that you dial the track to your frequent contact location to make your best drives bigger.
Around that sit three pieces of shared GT engineering:
-
Split Mass Construction. With the CG Track forward, remaining discretionary mass is pushed to the back of the head to hold stability through impact — so the adjustability does not cost you steadiness.
-
Speed Ring VFT face. A titanium ring stiffens the perimeter so the centre runs at maximum allowable speed, while variable face thickness protects ball speed on strikes away from the middle.
-
Seamless Thermoform Crown. A lightweight polymer crown frees mass for repositioning, tuned by Titleist to preserve the sound and feel their drivers are known for.
The GT3 also introduced a raised tail contour that Titleist says was previously impossible to execute, letting the head swing faster while keeping CG control.
It suits you if you find the middle of the face often enough to want control over flight and shape, and you would rather tune the club than fight your miss.
Available here in 8°, 9°, 10° and 11° — the full loft range Titleist offers in this head. Standard lie is 58.5° in the A1 SureFit position, and the SureFit hosel adds further loft and lie adjustment after the build.
How much does a custom-built GT3 cost compared to new?
Custom GT3 builds start at $399.99. Premium aftermarket shafts are available at additional cost, so your final price depends on the shaft you select on this page.
Both the head and the shaft are pre-owned, and that is where the saving comes from. A premium aftermarket shaft is the most expensive part of a new custom driver; buying that shaft pre-owned rather than new is what brings the whole build within reach.
Put together, a custom-built GT3 from us commonly lands at around 50% of what the equivalent new build costs at retail — new head, new aftermarket shaft, fitted and assembled. The exact gap depends on the specification you choose.
What condition are your pre-owned GT3 heads in?
GT3 heads are supplied in Very Good condition as standard. That means the head shows signs of play — normal sole and crown wear consistent with a driver of its age — but is in above-average condition for the model. Every head is inspected and authenticated by our team before it goes into a build.
The photographs on this listing may not be of the exact head you receive, but the head you receive will match the condition shown. We would rather tell you that plainly than imply otherwise.
How long does a custom GT3 build take, and how do I specify it?
Allow 1–2 weeks for all custom club orders.
You select the loft, shaft brand, shaft model and flex on this page — choose a shaft brand and the model and flex options for that brand appear. Everything you need to specify a standard-length build is on the page.
For any length alterations, email customerservice@thetourtruck.com after placing your order. If we do not hear from you, we build the club to standard length with the shaft you selected.
Shipping is free via UPS Ground from our Southern California warehouse.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an authentic Titleist GT3 head?
Yes. We sell only 100% authentic clubs and club components, and every GT3 head is inspected and authenticated by our team before it enters a build.
Are the shafts new or pre-owned?
Pre-owned. Both the head and the shaft are pre-owned, which is why a custom GT3 build commonly costs around half of the equivalent new build at retail.
How much does a custom GT3 build cost?
Builds start at $399.99. Premium aftermarket shafts are available at additional cost, so the final price depends on the shaft you choose.
Can I choose a shaft brand that isn't listed?
Email customerservice@thetourtruck.com with the shaft you want and we will source it and quote you a price.
Will the club I receive look exactly like the photos?
Not necessarily. The photos show a representative GT3 head. The head you receive will match the stated condition grade.
