What is the Titleist GT3 fairway wood, and who is it for?
The GT3 is the adjustable fairway in Titleist's GT line — built for players who want both speed and control over where the ball goes, rather than accepting a fixed setup.
What separates it from the rest of the GT fairway range:
-
SureFit Adjustable CG Track. This is the GT3's defining feature and the GT2 does not have it. The refined track lets you set the head to suit your own impact position and dial in shot shape, so the club can be tuned to you rather than the other way round.
-
Ultra-low CG. Titleist pushed the centre of gravity deeper still in this head, which raises trajectory and inertia together — consistently high launch with better stability through impact.
-
Forged L-Cup Face. A forged insert that wraps around the bottom of the club. Fairway woods get struck low on the face more than any other club, and a conventional face bleeds ball speed there. The wrap-under design protects speed and launch on exactly those strikes, including off tight lies.
-
Seamless Thermoform Crown. A lightweight polymer crown, much lighter than stainless steel, freeing mass to be repositioned — tuned to preserve Titleist's signature sound and feel.
It suits you if you strike fairway woods cleanly enough to benefit from tuning the head to your contact point, and want high launch without giving up control.
Available here in 15°, 18°. Titleist's SureFit hosel gives you further loft and lie adjustment after the build.
Which loft should I pick?
This is the question fairway wood buyers get wrong most often, so it is worth answering properly:
-
15° (3 wood) — the longest of the set. Most useful off the tee on tight holes and on long par 5s from a clean lie.
-
18° (5 wood) — the most versatile loft, and the one many players get more use out of than a 3 wood. Easier to launch from the deck.
If you already carry a driving iron or a long hybrid, email customerservice@thetourtruck.com with your current set makeup and we will tell you which loft we would build.
How much does a custom-built GT3 fairway cost compared to new?
Custom GT3 fairway builds start at $249.99. Premium aftermarket shafts are available at additional cost, so your final price depends on the shaft you select on this page.
Both the head and the shaft are pre-owned, and that is where the saving comes from. A premium aftermarket shaft is the most expensive component in a new custom build; buying that shaft pre-owned rather than new is what brings the whole club within reach.
Put together, a custom-built GT3 fairway from us commonly lands at around 50% of what the equivalent new build costs at retail — new head, new aftermarket shaft, fitted and assembled. The exact gap depends on the specification you choose.
What condition are your pre-owned GT3 heads in?
Every custom club build is offered in three head grades:
Good — clear signs of play. Sole wear, face marks and scratching are visible, and the finish may show wear at the edges. All blemishes are cosmetic and do not affect playability at all.
Very Good — normal signs of play, above average for the model. Light signs of use such as sole scratches and light crown or face marks consistent with a head of its age.
Excellent — minimal signs of play. A clean crown with light contact marks on the sole.
Whichever grade you choose, every head is inspected and authenticated by our team before it goes into a build. The photographs on this listing may not be of the exact head you receive, but please refer to our condition guide and the example condition photos provided.
How long does a custom GT3 fairway build take, and how do I specify it?
Allow 1–2 weeks for all custom club orders.
You select the loft, shaft brand, shaft model and flex on this page — choose a shaft brand and the model and flex options for that brand appear. Everything you need to specify a standard-length build is on the page.
For any length alterations, email customerservice@thetourtruck.com after placing your order. If we do not hear from you, we build the club to standard length with the shaft you selected.
Shipping is free via UPS Ground from our Southern California warehouse.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an authentic Titleist GT3 head?
Yes. We sell only 100% authentic clubs and club components, and every GT3 head is inspected and authenticated by our team before it enters a build.
What lofts do you offer in the Titleist GT3 fairway wood?
15° (3 wood) and 18° (5 wood).
Are the shafts new or pre-owned?
Pre-owned. Both the head and the shaft are pre-owned, which is why a custom GT3 fairway build commonly costs around half of the equivalent new build at retail.
How much does a custom GT3 fairway build cost?

Can I choose a shaft brand that isn't listed?
Email customerservice@thetourtruck.com with the shaft you want and we will source it and quote you a price.
Will the club I receive look exactly like the photos?
Not necessarily. The photos show a representative GT3 head. The head you receive will match the stated condition grade.
