What is the Titleist TSR3 driver, and who is it for?
The TSR3 is Titleist's player's driver from the TSR generation — built on the TSi3 that preceded it, and aimed at golfers with a consistent impact location.
The idea behind it is more interesting than "adjustable weight", and it is worth understanding:
-
Speed Ring VFT face. Titleist used a conical variable face thickness to concentrate the maximum CT/COR relationship into a single focused point of pure speed. Rather than spreading speed evenly, the TSR3 creates one especially hot spot.
-
SureFit Adjustable CG Track. The refined track then lets you move that hot spot to where you actually make contact. If you strike slightly toward the toe, you position the fast zone toward the toe. That is the whole proposition, and it only works if your contact is repeatable — which is why Titleist aims it at consistent strikers.
Around that sit aerospace-grade titanium construction and aerodynamic refinements that add clubhead speed from the same swing while keeping the shape Titleist players prefer at address.
It suits you if you find roughly the same spot on the face most swings and want to tune the club to that spot rather than accept a generic sweet spot.
Available here in 8°, 9°, 10° and 11° — the full loft range Titleist offers in this head — at 45.5" standard length with 58.5° lie in the A1 SureFit position.
How much does a custom-built TSR3 cost compared to new?
Custom TSR3 builds start at $299.99. Premium aftermarket shafts are available at additional cost, so your final price depends on the shaft you select on this page.
Both the head and the shaft are pre-owned, and that is where the saving comes from. A premium aftermarket shaft is the most expensive component in a new custom build; buying that shaft pre-owned rather than new is what brings the whole club within reach.
Put together, a custom-built TSR3 from us commonly lands at around 50% of what the equivalent new build costs at retail — new head, new aftermarket shaft, fitted and assembled. The exact gap depends on the specification you choose.
What condition are your pre-owned TSR3 heads in?
Every custom club build is offered in three head grades:
Good — clear signs of play. Sole wear, face marks and scratching are visible, and the finish may show wear at the edges. All blemishes are cosmetic and do not affect playability at all.
Very Good — normal signs of play, above average for the model. Light signs of use such as sole scratches and light crown or face marks consistent with a head of its age.
Excellent — minimal signs of play. A clean crown with light contact marks on the sole.
Whichever grade you choose, every head is inspected and authenticated by our team before it goes into a build. The photographs on this listing may not be of the exact head you receive, but please refer to our condition guide and the example condition photos provided.
How long does a custom TSR3 build take, and how do I specify it?
Allow 1–2 weeks for all custom club orders.
You select the loft, shaft brand, shaft model and flex on this page — choose a shaft brand and the model and flex options for that brand appear. Everything you need to specify a standard-length build is on the page.
For any length alterations, email customerservice@thetourtruck.com after placing your order. If we do not hear from you, we build the club to standard length with the shaft you selected.
Shipping is free via UPS Ground from our Southern California warehouse.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an authentic Titleist TSR3 head?
Yes. We sell only 100% authentic clubs and club components, and every TSR3 head is inspected and authenticated by our team before it enters a build.
Are the shafts new or pre-owned?
Pre-owned. Both the head and the shaft are pre-owned, which is why a custom TSR3 build commonly costs around half of the equivalent new build at retail.
How much does a custom TSR3 build cost?
Builds start at $299.99. Premium aftermarket shafts are available at additional cost, so the final price depends on the shaft you choose.
Can I choose a shaft brand that isn't listed?
Email customerservice@thetourtruck.com with the shaft you want and we will source it and quote you a price.
Will the club I receive look exactly like the photos?
Not necessarily. The photos show a representative TSR3 head. The head you receive will match the stated condition grade.
